Must-See
-
Quick Stop Entertainment
Formerly housed by IGN, this is the new home of the official Scrubs blogs and vlogs. If you want the straight scoop on what the cast and crew are up to, make sure you check in regularly.
- Support Scrubs Outlines numerous ways for fans to make their voices heard to keep Scrubs on the air.
Official Sites
-
Scrubs-TV.com
The official site from production company Touchstone. Offers cast bios, a photo gallery, games and quizzes, and a fan message board. The episode guide is written from information released before the show goes through last-minute edits, so the accuracy is questionable. But if you want a glimpse of the "director's cut", it's an interesting read. This site is a must-bookmark for any Scrubs fan!
-
NBC.com/Scrubs
The official page for the show from its network, NBC. Offers cast and crew info, details of upcoming episodes, and now occasional downloadable bonus episode commentary on show night.
-
NBC Media Village : Scrubs
The PR side of NBC. Offers episode synopses, photos, and news. Spoilerific!
See also: The Entertainment Page of NBCUMV for the latest primetime schedules -- know which episodes will air when, weeks in advance.
Official Cast Sites
- ZachBraff.com
The new home of Zach's regularly-updated blog. He swears he reads all the comments.
-
DonaldFaison.com
The standard stuff, plus Donald's jumped on the blog bandwagon.
- RobertMaschio.com
On-set photos, plus an opportunity to email "The Todd" and get a reply.
Media Offerings
- TV.com : Scrubs
As is often the case when a giant site takes over a small wonder, TVtome has lost a bit of its charm in its new incarnation, but there is still some valuable info and a lively discussion forum.
- BreakTV.com : Scrubs
Offers a nice selection of streaming video interviews with guest stars about their experiences on Scrubs.
- TVguide.com ShowGuide - Scrubs
TV Guide's collection of features on the show.
Fan Sites
- Scrubs Sounds Library
Offers a wide selection of sound files from each and every episode (thru "My Jiggly Ball").
- "My Guest Appearance"
A truly unique site run by a fan who had a unique experience -- he won a walk-on role for the February 2004 filming of "My Fault." Details and pictures of his adventure are all here, recently updated with even more in-depth content. A must-see!
- "Scrubs Online" @ Fan-Sites.org
A new site that is still trying to get off the ground. Since the shutting down of Steve J. Walters' Scrubs site, this is probably the best place for screen captures.
- Scrubs @ Raptures and Roses
I can give you a complete run-down of the content in two words: Fan-fic and Video. The video is the reason I'm listing the site -- a compilation of clips set against the tune "Wipeout" makes this a must-see.
Foreign Language Sites
- Scrubs - die erste deutsche fanpage
That's the first German fanpage, and as the name implies, it's in German. Looks like a good resource for those who speak the language.
- ScrubsBoard.de
Sprechen de Deutsch? Then maybe you need a German message board! (Also features an "international" room.)
- Italian Scrubs Fan Club
Dal sito: "il primo fan club italiano dedicato al telefilm SCRUBS" - Games, forum, cast & episode info all in Italian.
Avvertimento pop-ups!
Cast Devotions
- Zach Braff Online
The first Zach Braff Fansite. Offers Zach news, photos, quotes, and discussion areas.
- Zach-Braff.com
UNofficial fan site for the actor. Because it's run by the same people involved in Natalie Portman fansite AmericasQueen.com, they're mostly interested in his film work and connections to Natalie; Scrubs coverage is limited at best. But it's probably the best place for keeping tabs on Zach since "Zach Braff Online" quit updating.
- John C. McGinley.com
UNofficial fan site for the talented actor. Offers pictures and information on his complete body of work (including Scrubs).
- SarahChalkeWeb.com
At last, someone has stepped up with a legitimate information site for the lovely Miss Chalke.
- Sarah-Chalke.co.uk
Another, up-and-coming, fan site for Sarah.
Fan Fiction
Photo Collections
Etc...
- Ducey.com
Ducey...John Ducey. He played Will Forte in Episode 2, "My Mentor". He's uploaded a few pictures from the shoot.
- The Banana Hammock
Small site in the making that offers a few interests; cute character bios and episode trivia. Visitor contributions make the site grow. Either no one is contributing, or the webmaster has abandoned the site...so I had to demote it to "oddity" obscurity.
- CoreneMcGinley - Scrubs
I had to demote this one to an oddity/interest, simply because it's not really growing. There are some cute character bios there. Worth a look, at least.
- "a scrubs webpage"
The webmaster has stated on his site that he has "given up on this show!" and has no plans to update his page any further. I can't say I'm overly disappointed.
Forums
- Scrubs-TV.com's Official Message Board
Recently revamped and the format is, in my opinion, even funkier than before. Now with the added bonus of bugs! But the traffic is usually quite high, and I'm sure once all the wrinkles get ironed out, it'll be a worthwhile discussion spot.
- Television Without Pity Scrubs Forum
No clunkier than most other web-based message boards. The users have a cool way of safe-guarding spoilers, and the posters really love their Scrubs.
- IMDb.com - Scrubs Message Board
Rather chaotic atmosphere, and all the clicking is enough to drive one batty, but worth checking out regardless.
- FanForum.com - Scrubs
Another web board with a multitude of subthreads devoted to specific characters, episodes, etc. The people seem friendly (and active!) and the board appears to be run pretty tightly. Recently updated with a new URL and look.
- Yahoo Group: NBC's Scrubs
Around 400 members, but low posting traffic. However, the environment is warm and friendly; the people are always willing to answer questions and share ideas. Includes Links, Files, & Pictures areas.
- Usenet: rec.arts.tv (NewsReader | Google)
Before a proposal for alt.tv.scrubs will be seriously considered, the show must meet two criteria: Be on the air for two seasons, and have enough pre-existing Usenet traffic. Scrubs posts are only on-topic at rec.arts.tv; and centralizing posts here will make it easier for whomever collects numerical justification for their Scrubs newsgroup proposal and control messages.
The Morgue: Sites that are No More
- Scrubs Fan Base
A fan site with a nice design and clean navigation. The first to bite the dust -- they quit updating in February, 2002. A shame, as it might have been an excellent Scrubs resource.
- The Doctor's Lounge
Small fan site which offers a collection of quotes and screen captures from a few episodes. Highlight: really nice, original wallpaper creations.
Sadly, the site owner won't even return e-mails.... I hope all is well with you, Kat.
- Razor Sharp Quotes
The fans were demanding something like this, and I was so stoked somebody stepped up to provide it: A catalog of Dr. Cox's zingers. They even accepted contributions. Too bad the idea has been abandoned.
- Scrubs-TV.co.uk
Not to be confused with Scrubs-TV.com, this fan site offered a nice design and layout, but lacked much original content. I guess that's why the site and domain were dropped. No clue if the fan forum is still in use.
- Steve J. Walters - Scrubs
Steve's a real TV buff, and used to cover several shows on his site, including our beloved Scrubs. Once offered screen captures, trivia quizzes, and a track of the ratings.
- Scrubs on tommihares.com
I don't think this one ever really got off the ground. Unfortunately it seems the webmaster has abandoned any inclusion of Scrubs on his site.
- "The Ultimate Scrubs Website"
Another fan site that had some promise.... Updates halted in April of 2002, and though a promise was made to pick up work on the site, it just ended up disappearing instead.
- Scrubs-UK
A regular member of the official message board wanted to collect all the minute trivia about Scrubs that is scattered around into one place. Quite a feat; unfortunately, the project seems to be abandoned.
- Diet Coke of Snark - Scrubs
I hate dropping this one into the morgue, but I can't find it anywhere. 'Twas inspired by Television Without Pity's recaps, covering shows that TWoP didn't, including our beloved Scrubs.
- Scrubs-Planet Message Board
One of those with a million different "rooms" to bounce around. Not sure what happened to it, but the board and the domain appear to have been dropped.
- ScrubsForums.com
This board tried desperately to be the "best Scrubs board around," but went offline several times in its short life. If it ever comes back, it's up to you to find out -- but don't get too attached.
- Scrubs.TV
A stillborn site that never actually promoted itself, but was found by accident. They bought the domain, they set up a layout, they promised content by early '05. Now it's just a 404.
